MNO Policies *

PLEASE SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM AND CHECK THE TWO BOXES OF ACKNOWLEDGMENT FOR POLICIES AND LEGALITIES 1. Every member is required to post once each week for a member in their chapter. 2. A post is defined as a social media post that tags the member. All posts and promos are reserved for chapter musicians. 3. Originals Musicians pay no fees to MNO. Room dues may be payable to a hosting location as determined by chapter leadership. 4. Chapters meet weekly for 60-minutes only. Members are to remain for the entirety of the meeting and are required to show up on time. 5. Over a rolling six month period, members are allowed a maximum of three unexcused absences and three missed posts. A fourth may result in the removal of the member from the chapter. It is expected that a member send a sub to the meeting if they are going to be absent. Whenever a sub is sent, the member will not be counted as absent. A gig absence is not counted against a member. Gig absences include a concert, a tour or a radio/tv appearance. Up to 8 consecutive weeks of gig absences may be afforded to touring members. 6. An originals musician is a band or artist that writes and exclusively promotes original content. A session musician is a band or artist that promotes their instrument-related craft for other artists. A business professional is a company or individual who represents a non- musical instrument-related Service. An industry professional promotes their service to musicians only; ie. record producers. 7. Musicians can only discuss their music during MNO meetings. Outside business (day jobs) is not allowed to be discussed. 8. Business Professionals can only promote their approved specific category. Business Professionals who also play a musical instrument may, however, promote their music and upcoming events. Business professionals lock out competitors with their exclusive membership. 9. MNO has a strict anti SPAM policy: members may not add any fellow chapter members to any mailing list without their consent. 10. It is strictly forbidden for members to sell their services to members unsolicited. Only when a member refers themselves may a business professional proceed with the transaction. 11. Every visitor is allowed a maximum of two visits. 12. MNO is built on the foundation of love and light and the philosophy of Play it Forward. MNO loves and respects everyone. Religious, political, social, and racial discussions are strictly forbidden. MNO does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

ARBITRATION. All disputes arising out of or relating to this Agreement or the member's participation in MNO shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the laws of the State where the applicant's MNO chapter is located. The Arbitration shall be subject to the Rules of the American Arbitration Association. The clause encompasses any and all disputes involving MNO, its franchisee, and their officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives, as well as members, provided that the disputes pertain to membership or participation in MNO. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY. Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement, any liability to you involving MNO, its franchisee, and their officers, producers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives for any cause whatsoever arising out of or related to this Agreement and/or membership or participation in MNO, and regardless of the form of the action , will at all times be limited to the representatives for any cause whatsoever arising out of or related to this Agreement and/or membership or participation in MNO, and regardless of the form of the action, will at all times be limited to the amount of the annual membership fee paid by you for membership in MNO. Except in Jurisdictions where such provisions are restricted, in no event will there be any liability to you or any third person for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages. No actions here under may be commenced unless brought within one (1) year of accrual. TERM. All term fees are measured from the application date. Application dated between the 1st and the 15th of the month shall begin their term on the 1st of the month. Applications dated after the 15th of the month shall begin their term on the 1st of the following month. Terms run one (1) year from the date the term begins. CERTIFICATION. I hereby declare and certify that all statements contained in this application and any accompanying documents are true and correct, and that any misrepresentation or false statement may be grounds for rejecting my application or, if discovered after my application has been accepted, subject me to immediate termination at franchisee's or MNO's discretion without any reimbursement. I further understand that my membership is conditional and I agree, accept and will abide by all the terms and conditions set forth herein and those contained within the MNO member Policies, Guidelines and Code of Ethics, all of which I have had the opportunity to review upon my request or received upon induction. I acknowledge that breach of these terms, conditions, and policies shall be grounds to terminate my membership. I understand and agree that upon acceptance, fees are non-refundable without exception.
