The Four Tiers of MNO

Originals Musician (OM)
All membership fees are waived.

The goal of the OM is to have their music heard; most OMs would say they would play a packed House of Blues gig at no fee since they know they will be able to capitalize on the opportunity. Since MNO recognizes the major expenses incurred with gear, recording, mixing, merch, and other marketing services, MNO is free for musicians. OMs benefit from MNO by receiving real, grassroots music promotion. Their music and events are tagged on dedicated posts by MNO members but are also being connected to people in the music industry by way of their members. These warm introduction is the perfect way to be introduced to people in the music industry.

Business Professional (BP)
Membership fees are $497 per year.

BPs are the business professionals of an MNO chapter whose main goal is to build their client base by way of helping promote people in the music industry and fellow BPs. Supergroups, mini groups of BPs who have non-competing complimentary services (a realtor and a lender) are a huge resource of business for BPs; but even more so are the musicians who are active in the community promoting their music every day. A BP who actively promotes his fellow members’s music benefit greatly from referrals being sent their way by the musicians, especially when they reach rockstar status. There will be a rising star coming out of MNO, will you be the BP who supported and promoted them since day one and enjoy the benefits of being on their team?

Music Industry (MI)
Membership fees are $397 per year.

MIs are the business professionals of an MNO chapter who serve only the musician. The main goal is to build their client base by way of helping promote people in the music industry and fellow BPs. Supergroups, mini groups of MIs who have non-competing complimentary services (a producer and a mixing engineer) are a huge resource of referrals for MIs; but even more so are the musicians who are active in the community promoting their music every day. An MI who actively promotes their fellow members music benefit greatly from referrals being sent their way by the musicians, especially when they reach rockstar status. There will be a rising star coming out of MNO, will you be the BP who supported and promoted them since day one and enjoy the benefits of being on their team?

Session Musician (SM)

Membership fees are $297

Whether you’re a cover band, a tribute band, or a session musician you are monetizing your craft but not your original material. SMs goals are different from OMs, where they look to grow their paying clientele as opposed to take non-paying opportunities to further their career. MNO provides the weekly opportunity to connect with OMs and BPs in the group to seek referrals through their network of friends, family, coworkers, fans, and so on. These referrals can even include connections to major bands looking for their services. Because they are looking to grow their business by way of referrals instead of music promotion.

MNO SuperFan (SF)
Membership fees are $197

Think of it as a membership for the soul: SFs are neither OMs, MIs, SMs, nor BPs; in fact, SFs don’t have anything to promote except for the music of the OMs and the businesses of the IMs, SMs and BPs. Retirees, fans of OMs in the chapter, fans of MNO bands, and even fans of the whole MNO movement can join and have access to all the members in the chapter. Since visitors can only visit a chapter twice, this membership is very attractive for those who love the weekly meetings and meeting new visitors every week.
